Furthering K-12 education in Alameda and Contra Costa County

Problem

Budget cuts in California have left public school students without the necessary supplies to succeed in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)

Plan

Encourage the community to participate in a pilot program, where Chevron donates $1 to a local school through DonorsChoose.org for every 8 gallons of gas purchased at a participating station in the month of September

Results

Increased site traffic at Chevron stations and raised $850,000 worth of supplies for today’s students and tomorrow’s leaders
